Snakes in Australia are very common. Unfortunately there is a huge misconception that they are vicious animals. Except for a few times of the year, snakes are generally extremely timid. They will usually scatter before you get anywhere near them. In saying that, they can be dangerous if you get bitten, so don’t go near them! Snakes can be found throughout Australia, including coastal regions like Coral Bay, Lancelin and Lake Jasper.
